Chicago Human Rhythm Project will commission Washington D.C.'s acclaimed Step Afrika!  to create an original work for the Chicago Dancing Festival. Between July 27-31, Step Afrika! artistic director Jakari Sherman will lead an intensive choreographic residency at the MCA for 25 aspiring dancers to create a new "stepping" dance that will premiere at the Chicago Dancing Festival on August 22. The dancers will be joined by CHRP's resident ensemble, BAM!, and members of Step Afrika! to fill the Jay Pritzker Pavilion will joyful noise!
