To the mesmerizing music of Philip Glass, John Cage and Craig Armstrong, Jessica Lang crafts a contemporary work, To Familiar Spaces in Dream, which utilizes eight dancers to represent the octaves in music and eight boxes of varying sizes to represent the white piano keys.  The “keys allow the dancers to climb, slide, be lifted off the ground, and just add sculpture to the stage and change the environment the dancers are in,” says Ms. Lang.
